“The trails are calling and I must go”

A warm welcome to all of you who are interested in healthy, noncompetitive outdoor activities, especially walking in the great outdoors.

As you explore our website, you will learn about the many opportunities volkssporting offers. Please check out our member clubs, who would love to have you join them on a walk.

A Message from Beverley Cattrall, President – Volkssport Association of British Columbia

Welcome to VABC’s website. I hope you find all the information you need, but if you have more questions, please send me an email. My address is shown below.

Our BC clubs organized many very successful events in 2025, and, thanks to so many committed volunteers, we have so many more exciting walks to look forward to in 2026.

It is my hope to meet many of you over the coming months at club walks in BC, as well as at the Yellowknife Festival in June.

Our VABC walking challenges are continuing. You can walk with all five of our BC clubs, or complete all the BC Director’s walks in a given region – or, if you’re really ambitious, you’re welcome to walk them all! More information can be found on this web site.

In the meantime, happy walking everyone. See you on the trails.
