It’s great to hear that public health guidelines say that we no longer need to wear masks and that large groups of people can again walk together. Enjoy your walks this summer!

VABC’s 30th Anniversary
VABC is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Thanks to all the volunteers who have made VABC such a great success.

Island Walks
Good news – maps and directions for five up-island walks that were developed as part of the Spring Walks are now available on this website as online registration PTs. They are listed under Elk Falls, Englishman River Falls, Mount Tzouhalem, Port Alberni and Shawnigan Lake. Many thanks to everyone who put so much hard work into these walks.

Walkfest Vancouver!
The Vancouver ‘Venturers have decided to cancel their “WalkFest Vancouver” in September. They hope to reschedule it in 2022. 

Alberta Walking Festival July 16-18, 2021 (this month!)
The Northern Lights Walking Club is pleased to announce the VAA Annual Walking Festival in Leduc on July 16-18.  The team has chosen 4 really nice walks, booked a spacious hall (so there will be room for you to “space out”), found a reputed caterer and even booked a popular local band! Wild and Woodsy Walking Festival   Olympia, Washington  April 22-24, 2022
The Capitol Volkssport Club announces a new 3 day walking festival in the beautiful Puget Sound Region. There will be walks in the mountains, forests, parks, and along the shores of Puget Sound.
