  Calendar of Events 

Following is a list of scheduled events in all of 2017 which are organized by the BC clubs. In addition, most clubs also have group walks of their Permanent Trails at least once a year at weekends and often have mid-week group PT walks. To find out more about such walks, please contact the club. 

Registration for Scheduled Events commences 1/2 hour before the stated time unless indicated otherwise.

Notice to ALL walkers doing CVF walks in ANY part of Canada


The Canadian Volkssport Federation will not accept liability for medical expenses due to accident while doing any of our sponsored walks. The CVF HIGHLY recommends that Canadians and non-Canadians have proper and adequate medical insurance when they do a walk out of their home province, or arrive from another country.

INFORMATION: 5k & 10k walk up trails to Mt Tolmie for a spectacular view overlooking the City of Victoria. Visit Finnerty Gardens & continue walking on trails through the University of Victoria. Towards the end of the 10k walk, if you feel like a challenge, walk along the beach & up 80 stairs to get a great view towards Vancouver.

DIRECTIONS TO START:  Inland Island Hwy to Jubilee Pkwy, right to Dogwood, left on Dogwood and follow to Merecroft road. turn right to the end which turns in to Trask Rd.
INFORMATION:  The main trail is a flat and level former logging road, starting and ending in the parking lot (Trask Rd at the end of Mercroft Rd). The majority of both walks uses this road with the 5k taking a side trail looping to the Beaver Pond.  The 10k branches off on a trail up to the ERT, another old logging road, following it until we branch back to the main trail.

From Hwy 99, take exit for Hwy 17 southbound; Left on 56 St; Left on 12 Ave; Right on Boundary Bay Rd; Left at sign for Centennial Beach.
